Noah asked me if I knew that there were 4 things: the name of the book, the name of the author, the name of the illustrator, and the name of the publishe
r.... Out of nowhere he thought I should know that. Did I mention he is still 4?!

First Day of School

Trying to get a studious picture before school...not happening.

I told Noah to smile.

I anticipated Aiden being super excited about school this morning, Noah being upset and crying, and Wyatt being upset and screaming. LOL. For the most part, I was wrong! Noah whimpered a little bit when I left for the final time (I took Aiden to his classroom and came back to Noah). Aiden hugged me several times, not wanting to let go...and Wyatt just sat down at his table in his classroom and waited for them to serve breakfast...no crying, nothing... I thought it went well.

At 3:08, I pull into the parking lot and ended up in a line of cars to pick up kids. This was my first experience with the "pick up line". .... and it wasn't a good one. I could see my boys waiting for me and couldn't get to them! People were getting out of their cars to put kids in cars and that left the rest of us stuck... I will park tomorrow and walk up to get them.

Aiden got into the car and immediately started sobbing. I guess he got in trouble at the end of the day for not raising his hand and trying to talk to the teacher..had to stand in the hallway facing the wall.....Definitely something Aiden would do, he loves to talk. He was also thirsty and his head hurt when he got in. I pull up to get Noah and he jumps in with a grin on his face. I thought he would have had a bad day, but he didn't! He told me all about it and was so excited. He said he got to eat two lunches (breakfast and lunch actually) and sang his ABC's. He also walked on the sidewalk outside in a train. I asked him if he met any new friends and he said yes, but only the listening ones...LOLOL.....He said one boy didn't listen and he is not my friend...poor guy....We drove back into Blanchard to pick up Wyatt. Noah went in with me while Aiden stayed in the car crying and watching a movie. Wyatt ran to us and was so happy. They said that it was karaoke day and that he loved it! Sno Cones and home for a few hours before gymnastics. After some snacks and TV time and a lot of talking with mommy, Aiden was doing much better. He also talked to granny and mama on the phone which helped too.

Last year they went to school 30 minutes from home and did gymnastics and soccer there too. We never had time to drive home and back for those extra things so we stayed in Norman. I would have to pack the whole house it seemed in the mornings because wouldn't be home until 6:30 or 7:00. It wore us all out. Now school is close to home and gymnastics is too. It is so nice and the boys seem much happier.

(Sigh~) They are growing up so fast.

Days fly by.

It has been almost a year. Time has definitely gotten away from me. Aiden is going to be in first grade. Noah is going into pre-kindergarden. Both boys will be at Middleberg Public Schools this year. It is a new experience for us all. Wyatt is also changing schools this year. Everyone will be less than 5 minutes from home. Tim is still at Fort Sill doing great things. He gives 110% to everything he does. I am always busy with research now. I enjoy it (when I can get past the overwhelming amount of things yet to be done!)

I wanted to post a few pictures. I hope you enjoy them.

Wyatt's Birthday

We went camping at Skiatook Lake with Mama and Granny over the weekend for Wyatt's birthday. The family reunion on my mother's side was also this weekend in Skiatook. We arrived Friday night after dark and pitched a tent on a hill, hahaha, it wasn't bad sleeping...the boys slept in the camper with Granny and Mama....aaahhhh, some relief! Of course, the neighbors were partying until all hours of the night Friday and Saturday night. This made for an interesting first few hours of the night. As soon as the sun started coming up we were up! The boys fished in the morning and played by the water. Wyatt took an early nap and when he woke up, Jonci and Jadyn were there to play! They had so much fun. We ate lunch, had cake, opened presents and then went swimming at the swimming beach. Wyatt had a great birthday! The next day we packed and went over to the family reunion to mingle with the other 105 relatives there. There were 29 kids under the age of 10! WOW! Well I guess that is all for now!

The new tractor just for WyattZ!
Plasma Car (He doesn't ride it well without someone else, he rolled it down the hill yesterday!)
Do you see all the help he has to open presents!
Beautiful CupCake Birthday Cake that Granny got for Wyatt!
